Ireland’s Oxegen takes top spot, with the UK’s Glastonbury and V close behind, according to a new study from Havas Sports & Entertainment. However, Poland’s festivals offer best value for money for consumers, while Norway’s boasts the best organisation. Eastern Europe has a clear stronghold on the most cost-efficient festivals in Europe, with six of the top 10 cheapest rock fests included in the study coming from that region.

“Cheap doesn’t necessarily mean poor quality, however,” says Havas S&E. “Despite its low prices (€25-48 per day for camping and entrance), Serbia’s Exit Festival is the number seven overall festival this summer.”

And the Download is the most engaging fest, communicating with festival fans for the months leading up to the event, via forum posts, videos, Facebook and Twitter feeds.
