Colombia says Miss Universe crown should be shared after Steve Harvey blunder
09 January, 2016
Props to the Miss Colombia look alike, btw!
Of the various interviews that reigning Miss Universe Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach has been to, her recent meeting with the hosts of 95.5 PLJ in NY has been one of the best yet. Wurtzbach gracefully walked the stage with her Karen Millen dress and pumps.
It’s been nearly a month since Steve Harvey embarrassingly announced the wrong Miss Universe, but the world still isn’t done joking about it.
“I don’t really have the time to cook although I’m a culinary graduate and I love to cook and I also love to eat”, she said. “I feel like it doesn’t matter to them, the feelings of a girl who has worked her whole life for a dream”.
In a phone interview with CNN Philippines on Thursday (January 7), Wurtzbach revealed that she just learned about the details of her homecoming hours prior to her interview.
If you think the issue about the 2015 Miss Universe is finally over, you are definitely wrong!
During the controversial ending to the live 2015 Miss Universe pageant, American host Steve Harvey erroneously crowned Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez as the victor instead of Wurtzbach.
“Did I make a mistake?” We gotta do something!’ That’s all I’m hearing, all the confusion of everybody backstage. “These are some of the things that I want to talk about aside from raising awareness on HIV/AIDS”, Wurtzbach said. “I’m so excited, I can’t wait to start my reign”.
“The way it was written, it was a little confusing”, she said.
When asked about independence, she said “at the end of the day, it will be my responsibility alone and nobody else”.
“I think that the USA and the Philippines have always had a good relationship with each other”. Although she’s probably getting a lot more attention than a first runner-up normally would given Harvey’s massive faux pas, she definitely doesn’t need to see her moment being parodied like it was on tonight’s People’s Choice Awards.
