MOG readies mobile music
Musical cloud. On-demand listening outfit MOG is planning to launch its mobile music streaming app for iPhone and Android phones in the early part of the second quarter. The offering, which also includes desktop usage, will cost $10 a month for unlimited listening.
Subs will get access to 7 million songs and be able to cache tracks on their handsets so that they can listen to music when out of mobile or Wi-Fi range.
“The whole point of putting music in the cloud is to be able to get to it whenever you want it, from anywhere and mobile was always an end goal for us,” said David Hyman, founder and CEO of MOG. “We started by building the best desktop music experience and now we’ve taken all of the features of the website and created the best way to listen to music on a mobile device.”
