Dial a mobile disc
By Steve Mullins. Swedish mobile brand Comviq partnered with ad agency Forsman & Bodenfors to launch a new service enabling users to replace their ringback tone with music.
To promote the offering, Universal Music was added to the mix, and artist Veronica Maggio exclusively released her new single Välkommen In as a ringback tone on a single phone number only. For just two weeks, the only way to hear the track single was to call +46 739 52 50 06.
The number went to a mobile phone given to one of Veronica’s fans, Firat Delen. Firat is an 18-year-old student who, for a fortnight, got to be the only one in the country with Veronica’s latest single.
