Lincoln drives Vimeo filmmaking

vimeo-lincoln-hello-againVimeo has launched its Brand Creative Fund to help brands develop video content in collaboration with creators using the Vimeo network. The project has kicked off with the Lincoln Motor Company, which is looking for support for its Hello, Again campaign designed to help relaunch the 90‑year old automotive brand. Lincoln has commissioned four filmmakers – Lucy McRae, Jeff Frost, Eliot Rausch and Becky & Joe – to develop a series of short films around the Hello, Again theme.

online-videoHalf of consumers questioned in a six-market survey are willing to pay for a single premium YouTube channel that interests them, though they are willing to stump up less than $10 per month. In countries where there is very high quality output available, such as in the US and UK, consumers are less inclined to pay for a premium channel, according to Accenture’s latest Video Over Internet Consumer Survey.


Oxfam launches crowdsourced Coldplay film

oxfam-in-my-placeOxfam has launched its crowdsourced Coldplay video featuring the band’s acoustic version of the track In My Place with footage and images submitted by consumers from 55 countries to raise awareness of land grabbing practices. The film shows people moving something favourite, personal or familiar from their home to somewhere it doesn’t belong.


Unruly lights social video dashboard

The solution is based on the company’s proprietary technology which boasts seven years’ worth of historical video-sharing data across YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and the blogosphere.


Hair style on talent tour

GARNIER FRUCTIS COLLEGE TOURGarnier Fructis and VICE music platform Noisey have launched the Style Stage Headhunter College Tour which will visit seven US campuses in April on the lookout for two hosts for Headhunter, an upcoming web series premiering this summer on the Style Stage channel on Noisey.


Gimme catch-up, free

iplayer.1.uClose to half of the UK online population have used digital catch-up TV in the last three months, with the BBC iPlayer, YouTube, Virgin Tivo and Sky Sports the most popular services. And one third have used digital film services such as LoveFilm, Sky Movies and Netflix while three in 10 have listened to digital music services, according to YouGov’s Content on Demand study.
